Get ready for school with a kids’ clothing swap and fun outdoor activities for the whole family! ALL FREE!
CLOTHING SWAP
During the event, families can take home one or two shopping bags filled with clothing (bags provided) for free. However, guests do not need to donate clothes or participate in the clothing swap to come to Flip the Fit. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

STEAM-THEMED ACTIVITY STATIONS
Our activities for young people are fun and educational. Here are some activities we did at our last event.
Animal Adaptations
SPECIAL GUESTS: The McDowell Nature Center will do a presentation on how native wildlife have adapted to not only survive but thrive.

​Dirt Cups
Kids create edible “dirt cups” while learning about layers of soil and how things grow. A sensory and snack-based station that encourages creativity and conversation.

Bubble Science Lab
Participants experiment with bubbles, bubble wands, and airflow while exploring surface tension and shapes. A high-energy outdoor station with lots of visual engagement.

Make and Take Bird Feeder
Create your own bird feeder to learn about the birds in your neighborhood.
​
Coffee Filter Parachute Drops
Kids design parachutes and test how slowly they can fall while learning about gravity and air resistance.
​
STEM Story Time
A calm and cozy read-aloud area with STEM-themed picture books. This is a great space for families to rest and connect.​
​
Balloon Animals and Tattoos
A hospitality and engagement station offering balloon animals and temporary tattoos to help create a festive and welcoming atmosphere.​
